What is the ShopGopher Card?
The ShopGopher Card is a special service for our most valued international clients! The Card is available to all non-US existing clients and new clients who have completed at least US$1,000 worth of "search" service transactions.

The ShopGopher Card is a "stored value" Visa card that functions like a debit credit card (you pre-load the value). You will have the ability to shop with any US-based website at your convenience. On the Checkout Page, simply choose "Visa Credit Card" as your method of payment.

Is it a credit card?
It acts like a credit card but no credit is extended to you and no application is needed. The ShopGopher Card is issued by Visa. Each prepaid card is the property of ShopGopher, LLC and is extended to you for use as a preferred client.

Is there a special fee to use the ShopGopher Card?
There is no additional fee to use this new service from ShopGopher. We charge our 10% Basic Fee, providing you with a seamless shopping experience.

However, there are NO MINIMUMS per retailer when using the ShopGopher Card.

Where can I use the ShopGopher Card?
You can use the ShopGopher Card at any US-based website that accepts Visa!

Popular purchases include designer apparel and accessories from luxury retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, or eLuxury.com. Other favorites include Apple iTunes e-certificates or gift vouchers to major US retailers. You can even purchase tickets to sporting events or Broadway musicals. The list is endless!

Do not purchase items or services that require you to physically present your ShopGopher Card as proof of purchase such as airline tickets or any tickets held at the ticket window for pickup. Use our traditional "search" service for these purchases.

How do I obtain a ShopGopher Card?
Purchase a ShopGopher Card through our online boutique. Select your desired amount from US$500 - US$8000. Follow the standard checkout procedure and pay using PayPal account funds and/or your own major credit card. It will take up to two business days for your ShopGopher Card to be activated. Our staff will email you when your card is ready for use.

How do I reload my ShopGopher Card?
Once you have a ShopGopher Card, you can reload it at anytime. Visit our online boutique and choose "Existing Cards". Choose a single denomination or combine several denominations to reach your desired total value. Each prepaid card has a maximum loadable value of US$10,000.

Does my ShopGopher Card expire? What will happen to my balance?
Each ShopGopher Card expires one year after the original issue date. We will alert you by email and arrange a new card approximately one month prior to expiration. Your balance will be rolled over onto the new card.

Will I receive a physical plastic ShopGopher Card?
Currently, we are only issuing "virtual" cards to each client. Your ShopGopher Card will come with full instructions for use. In the future, you may receive an embossed plastic card, but to protect your security there will never be a magnetic strip.

What if I lose my information?
No worries! If you lose the original ShopGopher Card details, send an email to sales@shopgopher.com and include your name, billing address and phone number. To confirm your identity, our staff may ask you a variety of questions related to your account or purchase history.

How do I check my balance?
Visit www.prepaidcardholder.com and enter your ShopGopher Card number with PIN. Your transaction history and current balance will be displayed and is available to you 24/7. Full instructions are included with your purchase of the ShopGopher Card.

What if my balance is too small to make an immediate purchase?
No problem! The prepaid card service is designed to be used in conjunction with our traditional "search" service. That's why we charge the same 10% Basic fee regardless of which service you use. In many cases, our clients combine orders from both services and we ship them together to save you money.

Email your request to your Personal Shopper or sales@shopgopher.com with the relevant weblink and item description. Alternately, use our Request Form. We will order the item(s) on your behalf and then send you a separate payment link.

Of course, the easiest way is to ensure your prepaid card is always reloaded!

What billing/shipping address do I use for my purchases?
All prepaid cards are linked to our warehouse address listed on your instructions page. You must use that billing address at the time of checkout or the transaction will not proceed.
